Mask Makeup Studios Pty Ltd trading as The Mask Academy of Make-up Beauty Nails and Hairdressing is an Australian Owned company, which operates as a Government Accredited Training Provider. The Academy was established in 1992 in Sydney, Australia and has grown to its present status as a leader in all aspects of beauty courses, hairdressing courses and make-up courses.

The Directors of the Academy, Murray and Katherine Gosson have a long history in the Film and Television industry. Katherine was a makeup artist and hairdresser for 12 years, Murray was in the Art Department in the Film industry for 22 years. Their list of credits include working at Channel 10, 7, 9 and SBS includeing the Today Show, E Street, Home and Away. Film Credits include Matrix 1, 2 & 3, Mission Impossible 2, Superman, Babe 2, Scoony Doo, Mask 2 and many more.

NATIONAL ACCREDITATION: RTO ID: 2222. The Academy is a Registered Training Organisation with VETAB. We provide Nationally Recognised Qualifications meeting industry standards and your qualification is recognised Australia wide.

CRICOS ACCREDITATION: CRICOS no: 03096G The Academy has CRICOS accreditation for our hairdressing courses and beauty therapy diploma course.

TRAINING STAFF: Our training staff are professionals in their industry and have a minimum of 4 years industry experience. All our teachers possess the Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.

OUR FACILITIES: In the heart of Parramatta, handy to all public transport. Our facilities are large, modern and equipped with the latest materials. The Academy has a large Beauty room, Nail room, 2 large Make-up studios, 2 large Hair salons, 2 xTheory rooms, Student area to relax.

STUDENT SELECTION:

The Mask Academy does not discriminate against age, sex, sexual preferences, race, colour, educational background, marital status, economic status or religion.
Students must hold a year 10 qualification or equivalent.
Literacy skills are required to enable students to read and write course notes.
RPL – Recognition of Prior Learning is available on all courses, subject to conditions.

COURSE FEES AND STRUCTURE:

All deposits are non refundable and non transferable.
A deposit is required to confirm your position in a course.
Courses are offered subject to availability.
Course fees quoted on the course brochure and web site are subject to change at the Academy’s discretion.
Student Loans: The National Australia Bank offers a 'Tertiary Student Package Deferred Repayment Loan" to students studying a full time course with a Registered Training Organisation.

ENROLMENT PROCEDURE:

A pre enrolment interview is recommended prior to enrolling in our career courses. This will ideally help identify your learning needs and match the course to suit you. You will be provided with our student information manual detailing the Academy’s Policies and Procedures
To enrol, complete the enrolment form and pay your deposit to confirm your position in the course.
A receipt is issued and your database record is established.

REFUND POLICY:

Students who are paying their course fees in instalments and are unable to complete their course for any personal reason, their fees will not be refunded.
Students who have paid their course in full prior to commencement are entitled to a refund of 50% of unused monies. Refunds are calculated from the time of notification to discontinue the course is received in writing.
